In today's post Susanne Myers & Tracy Roberts from www.PiggyMakesBank.com are back with more information about PLR. Enjoy!
In our first guest post, we covered what PLR is, today, we thought we’d go over various different ways to use PLR (Private Label Rights) content. Sure, it’s a great way to get fresh content for your blog and take a bit of a break from writing everything yourself. But that’s not the only way to use PLR… not by a long shot.
4 Ways to Use PLR to Make Your Blog Awesome!
There are affiliate links in this post. Click to see our full disclosure here.
1. Blog Posts and Articles
Let’s start with the basics. PLR articles are a great time saver when it comes to blogging. You can take the articles, paste them into your blog, do a little editing and prettying up and BOOM, you’re done blogging for the day. To help make the content a little more unique and fit your style of blogging, we recommend you come up with a new title and do a bit of light editing here and there.
Another option is to think of PLR as research. You don’t have to post it as is. Instead, use it as a shortcut or outline to write your own content. Read through the articles in the PLR bundle. Since they are well researched and well written, you’ll have a really good idea of what you want to talk about. Then just rework it as needed and write up a quick series of blog posts.
2. Lead Magnets and Bonuses
One of our favorite ways to use PLR is to create fresh new lead magnets (subscriber freebies) and bonuses on a regular basis. For this we either start out with a short report, or paste a series of articles into one document, add a pretty cover page, and a few links to our blogs or affiliate products and it’s ready to upload.
Using PLR as short reports works great to entice readers to sign up for your list. Switching things up and adding a fresh lead magnet every once in awhile is a simple way to make sure your list continues to grow.
And these short reports make great bonuses. Use them to participate in bundle sales, add them as a bonus to your own products and membership sites, or brand them with your blog URL and add a call to action to connect with you on your blog and your social media channels and offer the report as a bonus to other info product sellers. It’s a great way to grow your reach and gain new readers.
3. Email and Newsletter Content
Written content doesn’t stop at your blog. You also need to email your list regularly. Use PLR as a shortcut there as well. Use the articles in your newsletter or the other email messages you send to your readers.
4. Paid Products and Membership Content
Last but not least, let’s talk about paid products. PLR is a great way to get started on your info product empire. Buy a biz in a box PLR bundle, or grab a few related PLR article bundles and/or short reports and edit them into one eBook on a topic. Add your own editorial content, a pretty cover and you’re ready to sell it.
Or set up a membership site similar to what what Katie’s doing with The Blog Connection membership in your niche and use PLR to help you create exclusive membership content each month.
Of course that’s not an all-inclusive list, but in our recent Google Hangout with The Blog Connection Members, we shared a list of 25 different ways to use PLR. Click the image below
