Frequently Asked Questions
1. May I book additional nights if I wish to extend my stay?
Yes, please mention this when complete your registration. Additional nights are not included in the cost of your conference fee and will not receive the special discounted conference rate, but we can help you make those arrangements if you would like to arrive earlier or stay longer. There may also be an additional airport transportation fee.
2. My family wants to come with me. What fees are associated with bringing family members?
Because space is limited, we can only accommodate registered retreat guests. Family members will need to purchase their own ticket. To request each other as roommate or to inquire about bringing more people, please contact Katie Hornor via email at firstname.lastname@example.org or call (864) 400-8309.
3. How much cash should I bring?
You will be responsible for breakfasts and Sunday lunch. We recommend budgeting $10/day per person, plus whatever you wish to bring for souvenir shopping. Adventure admission as part of the retreat activities is covered in your registration fee.
Taxis around town cost approximately $4 each way if you wish to go to Wal-Mart, Office Depot, fast food restaurants etc. Wal-Mart and larger stores will take credit cards, but taxis and local vendors only accept cash. The hotel staff will be able to schedule taxis for you.
US dollars are not accepted in Campeche, however you can use your credit/debit card in any of the many ATMs to withdraw Mexican pesos. Please be sure to alert your bank to the dates of travel and check with them as to any foreign ATM charges that may apply.
4. What is appropriate dress for excursions?
Resort Casual: Shorts, skirts, or jeans, t-shirts or polo shirts. Good walking shoes.
5. What is the dress code for restaurants at night?
Resort Casual: Shorts or jeans, t-shirts or polo shirts. Swimwear must be covered. Shirts and footwear required.
6. What is appropriate dress for retreat sessions?
You should plan to wear resort casual attire for retreat sessions. You may want to bring a cardigan or light sweater in case the evenings are cool.
7. What is the weather like in Campeche?
Tropical Mexico temperatures are warm year-round. Daytime average: 82°F, 28°C. Nighttime average: 74°F, 23°C.
8. We have special requests due to food allergies. Can these be accommodated?
Special requests such as special diets and food allergies are gladly accepted. After registration please send your requests via email to Katie Hornor at email@example.com or call (864) 400-8309.
9. Will there be swimming, or a beach?
Though Campeche is located on the Gulf of Mexico, our city does not have a local beach. There is, however, a beautiful boardwalk covering several miles along the water’s edge, where beautiful monuments and sunsets can be seen nightly. The hotel does have an outdoor swimming pool, open seasonally.
10. Will I need travel insurance?
If your current health insurance plan does not cover you for international travel, you should consider purchasing coverage for your trip. If you don’t know where to start looking, we recommend contacting Doug Gulleson with Good Neighbor Insurance. You can email him at firstname.lastname@example.org or call (800) 335-0611.
11. Is it safe to drink the water?
We recommend that you only drink bottled water while traveling in Mexico.
12. Is it safe to walk around in the city?
Campeche is one of the safest cities in Mexico. However, we would always advise you to be wise, always be aware of your surroundings, err on the side of caution and stay in groups if you are going out after dark.

If you would like to speak with a Blogging Successfully representative for more information about the accommodations, or about your retreat reservation, please contact Katie at email@example.com or call (864) 400-8309.
